Willow and Natural Art

Emma Parkins is a community artist and maker and lives in Belper.

She runs Junky Monkey arts. This is an ethical arts business running environmentally friendly workshops that are accessible to all people.

Her specialism is using recycled and natural materials, especially willow.

The art of willow weaving and sculpture is Emma’s passion and choice of material for her own artwork.

This is what she is choosing to display at the Belper arts trail.

Her background of illustration influences her willow sculptures. She aims to capture a quirky personality in the creatures she makes.
